Ambassador Anthony Johnson was a true patriot who has given sterling service to Jamaica at the highest levels of both the public and private sectors. I am grateful to have had the privilege of working closely with Ambassador Johnson during his tenure as Jamaica's High Commissioner to London. His profound grasp of Jamaican history, the erudite discussions that flowed therefrom, as well as his strong advocacy for business development and his witty personality, are etched in the memory. I extend heartfelt condolences to Minister Kamina Johnson Smith and the other members of his family. May his soul rest in peace.

To a fine Jamaican and patriot. Someone who gave selflessly to his family and his nation. Who imparted knowledge to those of us who sought deeper understanding of matters of state and politics. They don't make them like him anymore. Commanding my respect from a tender age the loss of the great human being is immeasurable
Rest in Peace Sir.

Sincere condolences on behalf of the Bryan family. Ambassador Johnson's love of history, scholarship and enthusiasm while sharing his extraordinary knowledge base is legendary. A true son of the soil. My brief encounters with Ambassador Johnson while serving in New York are memorable and confirmed wonderful anecdotes told to me by my father Prof. Patrick Bryan, based on their shared professional interests. May his soul Rest in Peace.
