Usa Kasi wataino, (good day our family)
On behalf of the Yamaye Guani (Jamaican Hummingbird Taino Tribe) we send our condolences, blessings, invocations and respect to the Johnson family.
We honor his devotion to the pursuit and sharing of knowledge, compassion and pride in being Jamaican.
We honored him during our New Year Taino ceremony with a tribute, reading on Taino(Island Arawakan) chapter from his book "Ocho Rios St. Ann, Portrait of the Garden Parish".
He will forever be remembered by our community as "Tekina Johnson" (Teacher).
Yayabo Huma (Great spirit be with you all)
Safe journey for his spirit to the realm of the ancestors.
