On behalf of the citizens of St. Ann, I submit this message of condolence to his bereaving family and colleagues. Ambassador Johnson was well known and respected in the parish. We have fond memories of his relationship with all categories of local citizenry, but his liaison with the St. Ann Chamber of Commerce is particularly worthy of mention. May his soul Rest in Peace.

I mourn Ambassador Johnson. He made me, an American young woman fulfilling a summer internship, feel comfortable and welcome in the Jamaican Embassy. Not singers or actors, I regard diplomats with excitement and awe. Iโ€™m sure I was awestruck in his presence, his tall stature, deep voice, and courteous manner filling any room. I remember him for many things including his remarkable memory. I learned even more about Jamaica while listening to some of his stories to audiences of students and audiences of other diplomats. When Iโ€™d completed my internship at the Embassy and heโ€™d completed his Ambassadorship in the US, we managed to stay in touch and heโ€™d offer me encouragement. What a man. What a life. What a light. Prayers for his family, friends, colleagues, and Jamaica.

To the family of Ambassador Anthony Johnson please accept my family and I please accept our deepest sympathies. It was my privilege to have worked with Ambassador Johnson as Chairman. Of Friends Of Trelawny Association, Advisory Board Member of the Jamaica Diaspora US Nort East Region. Our deep rooted relationship was even so much more personal because of our allegiance as Fortis. He was so knowledgeable with our history as Jamaicans. He has served our nation with distinction and though he walked with Kings, Head of States he never lost the interaction with the ordinary folks cementing his attitude of service before self. Blessings to his entire family and his co workers in the diplomatic corp Rest with you God Ambassador J ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’•
